12 short progressive pieces for Classical Guitar.
12 short progressive pieces for Classical Guitar.
Tuesday, 15 September, 2009
Hi,
My name is Richard Christie,I was born in Glasgow in 1956.I am a guitarist, teacher, and composer. My first book is for students who have been playing for about one year, preferably being taught by a good teacher. The idea is to achieve a grade 6 (A.B.R.S.M.)level,by the time you have finished the book.
I am running a project on my website using the book, with an 11 year old student who had been playing for around 1 year when I started the project with her.It began in April 2009,and to date she has finished the 6th piece.I have set her a target of one year in which to complete all 12 pieces and then I am going to put her through a practical exam for grade six,(A.B.R.S.M.).Some of the pieces will be shown on video on my website, the next to be shown is piece #8,which should be ready for the middle of October. You can check out the progress of this project on my website, and also buy the book from there. The address is,
