Biography

Anonio Lauro was born in Ciudad Bolivar in 1917. He began his musical studies in 1931, started his guitar studies in 1934 and
quickly displayed exceptional talent for the guitar. He became the official guitarist of a radio station and wrote his
first piece for the guitar. He finished his studies in 1947. After that won a lot of awards and prizes for his compositions.

Lauro wrote a large variety of works for the guitar, voice, harps0ichord, piano and orchestra.
And wrote a lot of classics with a great importance for the guitar.
His Venezualan Walzes are now essential and required pieces in many competitions
Antonio Lauro died in 1986 at the age of 68.
